3c Continuous Cool Country
WHO WE ARE
3C, Continuous Cool Country, is the first full stereo terrestrial 24-hour country music service in the history of UK radio. Broadcasting in crystal clear digital stereo in selected areas of the UK via the DAB Digital Radio system and throughout the world on 3Cdigital.com, 3C brings you the latest and hottest hits from the superstars of Country, plus exciting music from the up and comers who are the Country stars of tomorrow.

In the UK you can tune into 3C on your digital (DAB) receiver in the following areas:

Northern Ireland,
Glasgow and West Central Scotland,
Edinburgh and East Central Scotland,
North East England - Tyne & Wear Region,
Teesside - Middlesbrough and Darlington,
Liverpool, Central Lancashire - Preston and Blackpool,
Ayrshire, Perth* and Dundee* (* from September 2002)

IT'S OFFICIAL - 3C CONTINUOUS COOL COUNTRY IS THE WORLD'S BEST
3C Continuous Cool Country, is recognised as Best Country Music Format in the World by the judges at the International Radio Festival of New York.

TARGET AUDIENCE
3C’s target audience is 30+, married with children and finds chart music too young sounding while rock and rap aren't of interest. The Country format provides catchy, melodic music with lyrics which address adult topics of relevance to this audience. Many members of this group feel musically disenfranchised, with no currently available formats supplying the repertoire heard on 3C.

MUSIC – COOL COUNTRY
3C does not view Country music as a specialist format for the UK. It should be the natural home for adult listeners who are seeking infectious, melodic music with lyrics that address their concerns as adults. There is a large segment of the population that recognises that most current pop is aimed at their children, not them. These people are lacking a musical ‘home’ where they can feel comfortable. Country music has a whole galaxy of exciting performers with music that sounds great and has meaningful lyrics. This is the format where these listeners belong.

WEB AND PHONE SUPPORT
3C is supported by its own comprehensive web site, www.3Cdigital.com, giving access to information about the station and the music. For listeners without DAB receivers, 3C can be heard live through its website. In addition 3C has a UK-wide local call rate phone number which can be used by listeners to find out more information about the songs featured.

LISTENERS RESPONSES
Comments such as those below are received daily at 3C from listeners throughout the world:
“It is a breath of fresh air in amongst the general dross of commercial pop and so called M.O.R. radio stations. 3C has good music, news and information and presenters telling us what we want to here, not inane chatter like some of the others”

“Refreshing to hear a truly new concept on radio. I have never considered myself a Country music fan, but your station has changed my mind”“Its nice to hear something new and fresh on our airwaves. Keep up the good work. Since I accidentally stumbled on your station I haven't been able to turn it off.”

Central FM

Central FM is a hugely popular local radio station with a loyal audience that has made it the market leader in the Forth Valley.

There are 184,000 adults in Forth Valley and a typical Central FM listener lives in a modern home, has an interest in DIY and garden improvements, and likes to take holidays.

Our broadcasting area has three main population sites; Stirling, Falkirk and Alloa, each with their own character and variety of facilities for both residents and tourists.

In the middle of 'Braveheart' counrty the town of Stirling is steeped in history. It has plenty of up-market housing and shopping, most notably the Thistle Centre with over 100 shops.

Similarity, Falkirk is an attractive and historic town. Falkirk town centre has quality shopping and offices. and is a previous winner of the Large Town category of Scotland In Bloom. Falkirk's visitor numbers are on the increase with Callendar House and Bo'ness and Kinneil Steam Railway as top attractions. The newest and most exciting of Falkirk's attractions is British Waterways Millennium Wheel, built to link the Forth & Clyde and Union Canals.

Situated at the foot of the Ochil Hills, the town of Alloa is much smaller than Falkirk or Stirling.
